There are so many things to do as you prepare for your big day that you sometimes you can feel overwhelmed. There are just so many things to do and sometimes you just do not know where to begin. This is where you will need a little help.
1. Make a checklist: Your first thing to do will be to make a list of everything that needs to be done. You will then have a starting point.
2. Prioritize: Next you will prioritize what needs to be done. Put everything in order and see which things must be completed first.
3. Divide the things to be done into small groups. It will be easier to manage a few small groups of assignments rather than a long list of things to do.
4. Assign these small groups of assignments, to certain people. Make a list of who is doing what.
5. Keep in touch and discuss often. It is important to work closely together and touch base with each other on a regular basis. In this way, if there are any problems, you can deal with them in a timely manner instead of waiting until the last moment.
Assigning tasks is not too difficult you will need to know who is most suitable to take care of different tasks. Be sure you are specific in your instructions. The person handling the task needs to know exactly what you want. This will save a lot of problems and misunderstandings further down the road.
Make sure the people you assign work to will be responsible and not only know what they are doing but most importantly will take action and do it. You need to know that things are going to get done and there will not be any set backs as the time gets near. The last thing you want is to find that something has been missed out and you have to scramble at the last moment.
Assigning tasks will make your preparations go much smoother and you will not find yourself getting overwhelmed and not accomplishing anything. It will also avoid having to do anything in a last minute rush.
